So Gt has been abuzz with the online posted pics of a media personality. I didn't see them until today when I logged on to catch up with one of my online reading pages. I was horrified to see this all of this young woman plastered on a blog. When did we become a society that revels in someone else's misery? Oh right it aint our daughter, sister etc. so we could gloat. So here's my ten cents worth:
It is no longer safe to take nude pics of yourself and leave them in your phone or send them to anyone. In this age of technology, nothing is safe. So quit being naive and understand that even if you married to the man, it could still be leaked. I repeatedly warn my students about their penchant for taking bathroom pics. Well now ya'll have the proof of the damage it could do!
A lot is being said as to whether she deserved it or not and all those arguments are null. No one deserves to be slandered and I urge ya'll to resist the urge to lay blame. Worse yet is the rumour that it was done by the male's wife. I would like to think that if I found my hubby cheating that he would have to pay some price for this. Why did only the young woman suffer embarrassment? And ya'll dont go on bout how is the woman fault... she knew he was married. That bull is about tired as vum vum cheese so spare me the drivel. Then there is the woman scorned bull I'm also hearing. As a wife and mother I would be appalled if my children ever found out that I posted such things about someone else when I'm teaching them about tolerance and fair play. The camp about how if his wife couldn't keep him satisfied, then someone else had to...ya'll couldn't be that stupid right? Tell me women have evolved past ignorance and have at least entered some sort of REALM OF sense!!
She was naive to think that it would remain private. That she willingly participated is neither here nor there. That he was married says much about her lack of scruples but I wasn't there and I don't know what he said to her in the beginning. So ya'll back off.
So there.. that's my two cents and what a way to start this blog
As for the young lady in question, you have my prayers! With youth there is indiscretion and I know you have learnt from this a lesson I would never wish on anyone to learn this way. So chin up Miss, look to the future because Gt people got short memories and tomorrow you will be a passing memory.
